  This wasbizarre. The blurb said ‘peaceful’. It certainly wasn’t that! We were expecting a peaceful paddle among a coconut forest. Instead, it’s like navigating a dirty waterway alongside about 150... read more other identical boats in blazing heat, constantly edging closer to thumping rave music that is super loud and totally incongruous with the surrounds. Get to an opening and there are dozens of these boats gathered around pontoons where DJs blare music over the water while passengers wave flags and dance. It was really weird. Then you stop in a swampy area where they want you to pose for a photo you have to buy, you gather around for more super loud music while they spin some people around (this costs 100,000 dong per go) and then you sidle up to a brick wall by the river and they try to catch crabs with a fishing rod and some bread. Your over. It was so bizarre! We enjoyed it for its total weirdness, but if you are expecting serenity, an exploration of a natural area or anything that isn’t incredibly loud and overrun with tourists, this definitely is not for you!

The ride itself was super fun, our boat guide was very friendly and we would highly recommend the experience!
